What Is The Turnaround Time For Photographs?

For all sessions, including weddings and elopements, I will send sneak peeks of 15-20 fully edited images within 3-5 days of the session! Entire albums for hour-long sessions will be completed 3-4 weeks from the date of your session. Small weddings and elopements will be completed 6-8 weeks from the wedding’s date.

Why Is The Turnaround Time So Long?

As I am often shooting multiple sessions and weddings per week, there are many sessions which need to be completed in the designated time frame. Weddings can take upwards of 20 hours for editing alone! I want to make sure your photos turn out absolutely perfect so I take my time with each and every photograph!

Where Should I Print My Photos?

You can choose to print your photos through the print shop integrated in your online gallery. I also offer fine-art albums through RedTree. Let me know if you’re interested in having an album printed and I’ll send you my Album guide so you know exactly how the process works!

Side note… Always be sure to download the high-resolution versions of your images for printing! Web-size versions should only be used for social and, well, the web.

Should I Download My Photos Or Keep Them In The Online Gallery?

Although your photos will remain in the online gallery for a year, I always recommend downloading all of your photos to save them on a separate drive for safekeeping!

Can I Post My Photos On Social Media?

YES!! Please do! Once I have delivered your photographs, they are yours to share however you please! I just ask that you always tag my photography account in your photos, and please do not edit the images at all before posting.

Do you travel to us for photos or do you only shoot in Colorado?

I currently live in Fort Collins, Colorado, but I often travel for shoots! Since my family are located in California and Oregon, I’m often traveling back to those states. I also spend a lot of time in the PNW and the Southwest, including Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada. I also head up north to Wyoming and Montana for climbing and mountaineering trips. With that said, I’m open to traveling anywhere, and I have packages that cover elopements across the US and International destination weddings.

How many images are included?

I don't have a set number of images that I deliver each time, every wedding and elopement day is different. I promise you that I don't leave anything out, and there is no cap on images. The more time in your day that is set aside for photos, such as a half hour at sunset, or adding on a day after session, or special activities during the day like climbing or hiking, will typically result in more photos. That’s because those moments tend to have more photo opportunities unlike times such as dinner, or getting ready, or traveling to and from the venue, in which there will be less photos taken at those times while folks are eating or getting dressed. At a minimum, I deliver 350 images on full wedding days, and 25 for couples shoots.

Do you give RAWs?

In case you don't know, RAWs are unedited images, and nope, I do not. Editing is a HUGE part of the creative process, and my job isn't just to take the photos. It’s to make them into art for you. If there are any images you want in black and white, or in color if I sent you the black and white, I can absolutely do that for you.

One more note on RAWs: RAWs are typically really large files (unlike final JPEGs), and most people do not have the software to even open the RAW file types. Most phone editing apps are meant for editing JPEGs, so you wouldn’t even have the ability to edit them using those.

What if we need to cancel or reschedule our wedding?

Your deposit is non-refundable, so if you cancel a wedding, a refund will not be available. If you need to reschedule, it will be dependent on if the new date is available to me. I only take on a set number of weddings each year, and chances are I have turned down other couples for the date you have booked, so the deposit is money that I depend on and a date that I have set aside for you when I could have potentially opened it up for another couple. That being said, I will always try to re-book your date so that I can refund you if possible!

What if we need to reschedule our shoot because of the weather?

We can totally reschedule if the weather is treacherous, but some of my favorite shoots are in the rain/snow/hail etc.! Honestly, the wind and some funky weather are so much fun to add some spice into your photos, and rain gives me total Notebook vibes (if you have never seen The Notebook, go watch it right now and thank me later)! When the time comes, we can decide together if we need to make other arrangements.

Do you edit/Photoshop us?

When it comes to editing, I try to keep everything as close to how it was in the moment as possible. That being said, I edit out anything temporary, such as blemishes, bruises, etc. I do not offer extensive retouching such as face/body swapping, alterations to body shape and size, or hair extensions/coloring. However, if there are particular images you would like more than light retouching in, I can outsource those edits to a photoshop editor who will charge a certain price per image to edit.

Do you charge extra for travel?

All of my elopement and small wedding packages include travel, so I do not charge extra for those. However, I charge travel for engagement and couples sessions beyond 60 miles roundtrip from Fort Collins, Colorado. Depending on how far the session is, I will typically charge for mileage or flight costs, and I will charge for my hotel if the trip requires an overnight stay.

I Don’t Know How To Pose In Photos, Help!

Don’t worry, I’ve got you! Rather than putting you in stiff traditional “poses,” I like to give my couples small actions and prompts. I try to capture you and your partner how you usually interact with one another, so i’ll always ask if you’re comfortable doing certain actions or I’ll ask how you would typically do that action.

I’m a documentary-style photographer, so most of what I capture from your day won’t be prompts or poses at all. I like to photograph the in-between moments where you forgot the camera was even there. Obviously, we’ll still leave time to get portraits throughout your day, but don’t stress about them. You don’t need to do anything special aside from enjoy being with your partner and have fun throughout the day!
