Elopements & Destination weddings

Capturing the intimate moments between you and your lover—the hand on the small of your back, the soft gaze of their eyes on you, sunbeams glistening across your skin, a single tear of joy as you read your vows and make an intentional commitment to one another.

what does It mean to elope ?

E·LOPE

/əˈlōp/ Verb

To have a purposeful and intimate wedding experience where the day’s attention actually focuses on the two of you and what matters most to your relationship.

Gone are the days of running away to secretly marry your betrothed without your parent’s approval. Let’s throw out that old definition and embrace the idea that elopements can be whatever you’d like them to be. The Merriam Webster Dictionary posits that Elope “has also meant—and still means—to escape."

You may indeed be looking to escape your family’s expectations, or maybe you’re just looking to escape the big guest list in favor of having a small wedding in an epic destination with your closest friends. Whatever your reason for eloping, know that I’m here to help guide you through this experience. If you’re not sure where to start, I’ve got you covered. There’s no need to stress about planning your intimate wedding; I can help guide you through the process so you can focus on what matters most—dreaming up the best day of your life with your partner.

I'm Brittany, but you can call me Britt. I'm a traveling elopement photographer capturing artful, editorial, candid, and nostalgic feels in wild places like Colorado, California, Utah, and beyond.

I became an elopement photographer because I love documenting real, candid, and intimate moments between lovers. In addition to photographing elopements and intimate weddings, I offer exclusive resources to support my couples throughout the planning process. From helping you find a location that fits your vision to recommending vendors and helping you craft the perfect timeline to make your wedding day stress free.

Who is an elopement for?

Elopements are for partners who want to kick start the rest of their lives with a unique and intentional adventure tailored to their desires and interests. Choosing to elope on your terms is not a lesser way to get married; in fact, it’s a way to celebrate your love in a way that’s authentic to you.

An elopement is whatever you want it to be. Remember that—it’s what YOU want. It’s not about anyone else’s expectations, desires, or needs. It’s a unique experience that you get to craft just for you and your partner.

What can an elopement look like? It can be just the two of you or include your friends and family. It could be hiking to the summit of a mountain to exchange wind swept vows, climbing at your favorite crag, winding through a slot canyon to find peace and solace, or inviting 20 of your closest friends to an Airbnb in the forest to party till dawn! There is no limit to what you can do on your day; an elopement does not tie you to one venue or require you to please 150+ guests.

Your experience and your love matters

All lovers are welcome here, regardless of race, gender, sexual identity, or size. I want to tell your love story no matter who you are and what your love looks like.

Eloping gives you the opportunity to:

  1. Actually focus on you and your partner on the day you get married.

  2. Forget the pressure and anxiety of putting on a huge spectacle and performance for others.

  3. Create an experience tailored to your desires and interests.

  4. Choose each other and forget about anyone else’s expectations or needs.

  5. Spend your time and money exactly how you want.
